For over 10 years, Stosa Cucine has been applying a strict quality control protocol<\/strong>, implementing actions aimed at improving production and using specific criteria to carefully select suppliers. Stosa pays the greatest attention to the\u00a0impact<\/strong>\u00a0that manufacturing processes can have on the environment.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This has resulted in a decision to\u00a0create and form part of a complete production chain that places similar emphasis on environmental sustainability<\/strong>\u00a0as something essential to ethical manufacturing.<\/p>\n

In 2012 Stosa Cucine joined the Forest Stewardship Council<\/strong>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0(FSC) certification project. Today,\u00a0we have<\/strong>\u00a0achieved the goal of offering customers products that are made from certified materials<\/strong>. These range from Art, the first line to be prototyped and marketed, to Karma and Metropolis.<\/p>\n

Carb P2<\/strong><\/h4>\n

All Stosa kitchen units are made from CARB P2 certified materials. Carcasses are made from recyclable panels with extremely low formaldehyde content.<\/p>\n

Formaldehyde is used to produce many adhesives and resins and over time it can release gas molecules into the environment that may be harmful to man at high concentrations.<\/p>\n

CARB (California Air Resource Board) certification is based on Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) rules, the purpose of which is to reduce and control formaldehyde emissions from wood-based materials used within the territory of California.<\/p>\n

CARB certification has been used as a reference standard by major multinational companies in the wooden furniture sector. Starting in 2016, Stosa Cucine began a virtuous journey to\u00a0reduce the use of plastic in furniture packaging<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Today, our packing is based on\u00a0cardboard boxes sealed with paper tape<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0cardboard corner guards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A significant investment was made to convert packaging systems and permit the change to a new concept in protective furniture packaging. New machinery includes automatic taping machines that seal the flaps. A continuous automatic line has been installed to reduce waste to a minimum.<\/p>\n

Currently, our packaging is 98% cardboard.<\/p>\n

Sustainability means energy saving too. With this in mind, Stosa Cucine has installed a\u00a01.5 MW photovoltaic system to\u00a0make production sustainable and ensure extremely low CO2\u00a0emissions. In parallel with developments in products and internal logistics aimed at improving sustainability, this project, designated \u201cStosa Green Park<\/strong>\u201d, will see the construction of\u00a0a production site with excellent road access and green areas, harmoniously integrated into nature and the surrounding landscape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
